Aeronautical Engineering Internship

Aboard

About this internship

The Aeronautical Engineering Internship at Aboard offers a comprehensive, hands-on experience designed to provide a deep understanding of various aspects of aeronautical engineering and aviation systems. This one-month program involves interpreting and representing lines and projections in engineering drawings, familiarizing with aircraft zones and ATA100 specifications for maintenance, and planning flights with load and performance calculations. Work includes analyzing human factors in flight safety, determining aircraft material specifications for repairs, and handling basic aircraft electrical systems, including logic gates, truth tables, and electrical system synoptic diagrams.

Tasks will include dealing with specialized systems, such as the vacuum waste system, air conditioning flow charts, and material selection for aircraft structures. Engage in managing subsonic flight, hydraulic power systems, and fuel systems, including fuel feed and storage. Additionally, handle the requirements and operation of aircraft oxygen systems, ice and rain protection systems, and the controllability of primary and secondary flight controls with fly-by-wire systems. The internship culminates with work on the autoflight system, fire protection systems, pneumatic systems, and the powerplant and auxiliary power unit components, ensuring a well-rounded and practical grounding in aeronautical engineering principles and practices.
